Withdrawal Policy
This policy outlines the procedures for withdrawing manuscripts from the Journal of Emerging Technology and Digital Transformation (JETDT). Authors are encouraged to carefully review this policy before submitting their manuscripts.
1. Before Submission:
- Prior to submission: Authors may withdraw their manuscripts at any time without penalty. They should simply notify the editorial office by email.
- After submission: Authors may withdraw their manuscripts before the peer review process begins. Withdrawal after submission, but before the start of peer review, will require written notification to the editorial office. No fees will be charged at this stage.
2. During Peer Review:
- During peer review: Authors may withdraw their manuscripts during the peer review process. However, they should be aware that peer reviewers may have already begun their work, and their feedback may still be provided. Additionally, the editorial team may require a brief explanation for the withdrawal.
- After peer review: Authors cannot withdraw their manuscripts after the peer review process is complete. At this stage, the editorial team will have made a decision on the manuscript (accept, reject, or revise and resubmit), and further changes are not possible.
3. After Acceptance:
- After acceptance: Authors generally cannot withdraw their manuscripts after acceptance for publication. However, under exceptional circumstances (e.g., discovery of a significant error), authors may request withdrawal by contacting the editor-in-chief. The editor-in-chief will make a final decision on the request.
- After publication: Authors cannot withdraw their manuscripts after publication.
4. Consequences of Withdrawal:
- If an author withdraws a manuscript before the peer review process begins, there are no consequences.
- If an author withdraws a manuscript during the peer review process, the editorial team may withhold the reviewer feedback from the author.
- If an author withdraws a manuscript after acceptance, the journal may charge a withdrawal fee to cover the costs associated with processing the manuscript.
